Study of 16-bit microprocessor including architecture and instruction set. Assembly language programming is used. Connection of memory, I/O and interrupt devices also studied. Programming PLD devices and their usage in digital systems also covered. Written and oral reporting is an integral part of this course. Course may be appropriate for CIS and CS majors.
