Outlines of history and geography precede the introduction to the culture and society of Hispanic America, excluding Mexico. Lectures, films, and works of fiction and nonfiction give a general overview of daily life in Hispanic countries. Knowledge of the Spanish language is not required. This course meets General Education requirements: Global Consciousness; Cultural Enrichment.
