A welding theory and practice course offered as a related subject of the auto body repair program that requires a knowledge of welding processes and their application. Manipulative skills are emphasized for the gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, shielded metal arc, oxy-fuel and braze welding processes. An introduction to plasma arc cutting, resistance spot welding, stud welding and plastic welding is included. Appropriate reading assignments are included.
