Why Choose the Arts Management Minor?

The Arts Management minor is designed for students who love the arts but also want to be able to secure employment with their bachelor's degree. This minor involves a great deal of course work in the College of Business – course work in management, accounting, personnel, and other areas that will serve any student well in their future career. It also, however, gives special attention to the business management of the arts and arts facilities, such as programming for performance facilities.

Admission Requirements

This Arts Management minor is open to any student admitted to Ferris State and pursuing a baccalaureate degree. The minor is designed to complement any Ferris major program.

Graduation Requirements

An academic minor may only be awarded upon completion of a baccalaureate degree at Ferris State. This minor requires a minimum of 18 credits with a minimum 2.0 grade average in these courses.

Also, 50 percent of the credits for a minor must be taught by Ferris State University.
