The theory and application of the science of nutrition, including an introduction to the nutrients, their sources, digestion, absorption, metabolism and functions. Nutrition needs throughout the life cycle and the prevention of disease related to nutrition will be stressed. Not to be taken by students with credit in CAHS 231. Prerequisites BIOL 205
