Civil Litigation

Max credits: 4
Comprehensive review of procedures in civil litigation. Includes review of pretrial tasks such as interviewing, investigation, timekeeping, and data control techniques. Michigan court rules, code of professional responsibility, and the Michigan rules of evidence are studied. Students prepare routine pleadings for a civil case, discovery materials, and a brief. One class each week is held in the library.
