Distribution of scarce resources within human societies and the consequences of inequality. Opportunities and life chances are analyzed for various segments of the population, including race and gender. Primary emphasis will be on the United States. This course meets General Education requirements: Race/Ethnicity/and or Gender Issues.

Requires:

SOCY 121 or SOCY 122 or ANTH 122 & 1 other social awareness course
