Why Choose Construction Management?

The Construction Management curriculum builds on a foundation strong in basic construction technology, mathematics, science and general education. Instruction continues with courses covering project costs, estimating, scheduling, contracts, total quality management, safety, engineering fundamentals, technical communication and business management. Construction-related computer software is integrated into all areas of the curriculum.

By blending technical instruction in construction and engineering with a strong business education, the Construction Management program at Ferris gives students the ability to manage and supervise the entire construction process.

Construction management students can choose from two concentrations: commercial/industrial or highway/bridge.

Prepare for a Great Career

The single largest industry in the United States, construction plays a significant role in the nation's economy. As it grows in size and scope, the industry continues to provide excellent employment opportunities.

The ACCE-accredited Construction Management program at Ferris fills a vital need for time, cost and quality control in construction projects through the application of proper management tools.

With proper education and training, Construction Management graduates can anticipate obtaining leadership positions in general contracting, project coordination, field supervision, quality assurance/control, estimating, marketing, field inspection and subcontracting.
