Why Choose Environmental Regulations Certificate?

As the regulations about health and safety change, it is important the individuals who work in industry understand how to read and interpret them. The Environmental Regulations certificate has been designed to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn to understand the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) laws and their application to a variety of industrial settings.

The certificate program consists of three internet courses delivered to the student on a series of CD ROMS that contain the majority of the course materials with direct links to the latest information about OSHA, the Environmental Protection Agency and NIOSH on the internet.

Admission Requirements

First-year students must have a high school diploma with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Previous college courses and work experience are helpful but not required.

Graduation Requirements

To obtain a certificate, you must successfully complete all three courses at the level specified by the instructor. Individuals who complete all three of the certificate courses will have completed 8 credit hours required in the bachelors in Environmental Health and Safety Management or associate degree in Environmental Health and Safety Technology degrees at Ferris State University.
