This course will cover the concepts and clinical applications of general biochemistry, proteomics, and genomics. Lecture topics will include cellular biochemistry, proteins, mechanisms of enzyme action, bioenergetics, carbohydrate chemistry, lipid biochemistry, proteins, mechanisms of enzyme action, bioenergetics, carbohydrate chemistry, lipid biochemistry, molecular biology, nutrition as well as ocular biochemistry and its clinical applications and consequences.
