Anatomy and Physiology for Optometry I (OPTM 537)

This is the first of a two semester sequence whose subject is structure and of the human body, with an emphasis on systemic processes which impact the normal function of the eye and its adnexa. Topics include cell and tissue histology, muscle/digestive/visceral/neuro and endocrine anatomy and physiology. The laboratory will provide practical experience with structure/function relationships, and an in-depth analysis of the skull, orbit and the physiological effects of various systems on ocular structure and function.
