The variations and uniformities within the lifeways of humankind demonstrate the richness of human responses to basic needs to subsist, order behavior, and adjust to change. Systems of meaning which allow humans to make sense of their efforts are studied. A holistic approach to the comparative study of human populations. This course meets General Education requirements: Global Consciousness, Social Awareness and Race/Ethnicity/Gender Issues.
