Course addresses foundation principles, skills, and methods of qualitative inquiry with focus on research questions, study design, data collection, analysis and interpretation, assumptions and limitations, criterion for research quality, and ethical issues. Emphasis will be placed on research practice with illustrative applications relevant to community college leadership. Includes software application. Prerequisites: Admission to the doctoral program in Community College Leadership. Typically offered Spring only.
