Study of the definition, nature, and patterns of interaction surrounding so-called ""deviant"" behavior, as well as social and institutional attempts to prevent and control it. A critical examination of sociological theories of deviant, delinquent, and criminal behavior, and application of these theories to selected forms of deviance. This course meets General Education requirements: Social Awareness, Race/Ethnicity/Gender Issues. Pre-Requisites:SOCY 121 or 122 or ANTH 122. Typically Offered Fall, Spring
