African American Art History *RC

An introduction to visual art-sculpture, painting, drawings, pottery, textiles-produced by African Americans from the colonial era to the present. Attention will be given to the aesthetic links between African art forms and African American artistic expression. The course also exposes students to the social, political, and economic conditions that impacted the production of visual art by African Americans. This course meets the General Education requirements: Cultural Enrichment.
