Vietnam Ecology (BIOL 245)

The course will compare the ecological aspects of Vietnam's rivers, oceans andforests to aquatic and terrestrial habitats in Michigan and other temperateenvironments by observing, sampling and quantifying samples taken from eacharea studied. Students will quantitate species diversity, species richness,and pollution from various environments. This will require a trip to Vietnamat the end of the semester which will be approximately 20 days. This course meets General Education requirements: Scientific Understanding and Global Consciousness.Typically Offered Spring only.
