Evolution (BIOL 340)
The study of the process of evolution, including the origin of species and fossil evidence in the geological record. Considers evidence of evolutionary relationships, including molecular homologies recently discovered by genome projects, the evolution of metabolic pathways, symbiotic relationships and the evolution of eukaryotes. This course meets General Education requirements: Scientific Understanding and Writing Intensive Course. Prerequisites: BIOL 122 with a grade of C- or better. Typically offered Fall, Spring and Summer.
