The study of the process of evolution, including the origin of species and fossil evidence in the geological record. Considers evidence of evolutionary relationships, including molecular homologies recently discovered by genome projects, the evolution of metabolic pathways, symbiotic relationships and the evolution of eukaryotes. Designed for science and non-science students and is applicable toward the Applied Biology major.
