Gerontology in Dental Hygiene (DHYG 415)

This course is intended to provide the dental hygienist with the knowledge and skills to address the issues of the aging population. Students will examine the sociopsychological, environmental and physiologic aspects of aging and how aging impacts oral health care. Prerequisites: Admission to the DHYG BS program.Typically Offered Spring.
