Molec Diag of Infect Dis Lab (DMOL 421)
Directed practice utilizing methodology and instrumentation commonly used in molecular infectious disease laboratory. Molecular methods used to detect and phenotype infectious disease organisms such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi will be demonstrated. Techniques used to indentify resistance in microorganisms will also be discussed and demonstrated. Prerequisites: DMOL 410 and DMOL 411 with C grade or better. Co-requisites: DMOL 420. Typically offered in Spring.
