A study of the workings of the free enterprise economy. The mechanics of markets and prices. Household consumption decisions and demand. Production and supply. Competitive and non-competitive markets and their bearing on resource allocation. Extensions of microeconomics theory and miscellaneous applications in welfare economics, international trade, and others. This course meets General Education requirements: Social Awareness.
