An advanced course required of Tech Comm majors to help students achieve professional viewpoints of technical communication: editor, writing/publication production manager, trainer, and project colleague. Involved: group preparation, audience analysis, usability testing, critiquing of class and field assignments, group projects, business and technical challenges of communication, and publication production. Included: class and laboratory writing, formatting, graphics, macro and micro editing, proofreading, and using rhetorical principles. Pre-Requisites: ENGL 311 or ENGL 321 or ENGL 323 or ENGL 325 with a grade of C or better. Typically Offered Fall Only
