Curr-Prof Devel Literacy Prog (ERLA 600)
Examines research, theories, and models of curriculum and professional development for literacy programs. Explores current trends and issues; state and federal legislation, mandates, programs, and sources of funding; and local community factors that impact literacy programs. Focuses on how research-based literacy programs and practices are developed, implemented, and evaluated. Provides experience in developing curriculum, planning professional development, selecting appropriate materials and resources, and evaluating programs.
