Provides overview of national/international figures in literacy. Examines roles literacy leaders perform at the local, state, and national levels and describes relevant research and model programs. Explores using the services of professional/community organizations/agencies and working w/ other professionals/community leaders. Focuses on administrative/ supervisory considerations related to planning, organizing, staffing, supervising, budgeting and evaluating literacy programs. Provides experience grant writing/conducting an action research project at the local level. Includes technology/school or community application components. Pre-Requisites:Graduate Status. Typically Offered Spring Only
