Literacy Research

Max credits: 3
Reviews current research in education with an emphasis on literacy and language development. Provides an overview of methodologies and models for conducting literacy research. Provides experience in identifying a local problem in literacy, conducting research on it, and communicating the findings in an appropriate format to others. As the capstone course, students must demonstrate the ability to synthesize and apply knowledge and concepts learned throughout the program. This course requires the advisor's approval and should be taken as the last course in the student's program. Includes technology and school of community application components.
