This course introduces the theory of managerial planning for capital and operational budgeting in health care as well as the regulatory constraints related to capital expenditures. Students will have the opportunity utilizing excel to prepare a capital budget proposal as well as to gain practical skills in operational budgeting preparation and related analysis. Prerequisites: (HCSA 210 or MRIS 228) and ACCT 201 with grades of C or better. Typically Offered Fall and Spring.
