This course surveys the earliest world civilizations, the origins of religion, the impact of Europe and the impact on Europe, the national development of China, Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia, the impact of Western dominance upon Asia and Africa, and the "developed world" since 1945. This course will provide the broader questions and trends of these civilizations and eras.
