Conflict between the North and South from the Age of Jackson to 1877. The intensification of the sectional struggle, secession, principal military campaigns, major wartime problems of the Union and Confederacy; the significance of the Civil War in American history; political and social reconstruction. This course meets General Education requirements: Cultural Enrichment.
