Modern Africa (HIST 370)
An introduction to the social, political and cultural history of Modern Africa and a selective examination of issues confronting Contemporary Africa. Issues to be explored include the impact of European contact and colonization, Pan-African Nationalism, and Post Colonialism. In addition the class will explore African cultural contributions to the world. This course meets General Education Requirements: Cultural Enrichment, Global Consciousness, Race/Ethnicity/Gender.
