Advanced Refrigeration and AC (HVAC 102)
A continuation of the basic refrigeration cycle and application of the Mollier diagram and thermodynamics, including theoretical and actual refrigeration capacities, along with a study of refrigerants, oils, systems, metering devices and compressors. Emphasis on instrumentation, testing, system troubleshooting and problem solving. Students will study for EPA Section 608 certification. Prerequisites: HVAC 101, HVAC 111 and MATH 116 all with a grade of C- or better. Typically Offered Fall, Spring
