|
Max credits: |

This course introduces students to a variety of twentieth-century women writers. As students read short stories, essays, drama, poems, novels, and/or autobiographies that explore women's roles, they will also explore world feminisms. Students will draw conclusions about the ways in which culture shapes the ways women write and their treatment of issues, including marriage, sexuality, religion, child-rearing, resistance to patriarchy and political oppression, and the search for identity.
