Research in Health Infor Mgmt (MRIS 404)
Students will explore the role of the health information administrator in support of biomedical research. They will employ various research methods as part of a limited research project. The implications of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act on research in health care will be discussed. Student must earn ""C"" (2.0) or better on first or second attempt. Two unsuccessful attempts (less than ""C"") will result in dismissal from health information management program. Prerequisites: EHSM 315, MRIS 293. Typically Offered Fall only.
