Nursing Health Promotion

Guides the professional nursing student in the development of knowledge necessary to be able to use health promotion concepts, lifestyle change processes, and the health belief model for themselves and clients along the lifespan. The course will focus on nutrition, exercise, stress management, social support, and evidenced-based complementary healing methods as therapeutic nursing modalities for health promotion with individuals, families and groups.

Requires:

Michigan RN license & a mimimum of 1000 hrs of clinical experience as a RN
