This is the first of a two semester sequence whose subject is structure and function of the human body, with an emphasis on systemic processes which impact the normal function of the eye and its adnexa. Topics include cell and tissuehistology, muscle/digestive/visceral/neuro and endocrine anatomy andphysiology. The laboratory will provide practical experience withstructure/function relationships, and an in-depth analysis of the skull,orbit, and the physiological effects of various systems on ocular structureand function.
