Sociopharmacy (PHAD 502)
Social and behavioral pharmacy involves the application of behavioral science principles to help understand the influence of human behavior on the delivery of pharmaceutical and related health care services. It is concerned with the development and application of social and behavioral science knowledge and techniques to problems in pharmacy and drug use. The course focuses on the psychosocial aspects of drug therapy and pharmaceutical care, communication with patients and other caregivers, professional education and clinical desision-making, and the drug use process. Third year professional status required. This course meets General Education Requiements: Writing Intensive. Pre-Requisites:3RD Professional year status. Typically Offered Fall Only
