Practice Skills Lab 1 (PHAR 385)
This course series will provide an opportunity for students to develop patient-centered care skills. Skills introduced are non-sterile compounding, drug information retrieval, product flavoring, and product testing. Physical and chemical properties of prescription additives are considered as they affect accuracy, potency, and stability of common dosage forms. The P1 student will visit an assigned pharmacy setting and develop a presentation as part of the introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) program. Prerequisites: Restricted to the College of Pharmacy. Typically Offered Fall only.
