Internal Medicine Clerkship 1 (PHPR 600)
Involves the student with total patient care through in-depth drug monitoring and surveillance in the internal medicine specialty area. Clinical activities include work rounds, patient drug histories, discharge patient education and medication counseling, and review of patient case studies with emphasis on rational drug therapy. Conferences with the preceptor and other health care professionals are scheduled to discuss patient care activities and effective patient management. Pre-Requisites:4th professional year status.
