Study of public policy formation in the political system, and the decision making and problem solving processes and procedures involved. Emphasis on how and why political, social, and economic change takes place in society. Examines informal and formal demands upon the system, pluralistic and elite response, representative democratic behavior, and international, national and community power as they relate to political decision making and policy formation. This course meets General Education requirements: Social Awareness, Race/Ethnicity/ Gender Issues. Pre-Requisites:Sophomore Status. Typically Offered On Demand
