Sensation and Perception (PSYC 365)
A survey of theories and research findings on how neurological and mental representations of the outside world are formed and used. Topics include psychophysical methodology, the function of sense organs and sensory systems of the brain, stimulus cues, perceptual interpretive processes, sensory and perceptual errors, space perception, speech perception, reading, and perceptual learning and development. Although all of the sense modalities are covered, vision and hearing are the emphasis. Pre-Requisites: PSYC 150. Typically Offered Spring Only
