An introduction to the religions and cultures of the Western world, this course considers critically, in light of their historical, cultural, philosophical, and doctrinal evolution the three monotheistic religions that derive from the ancient Near East, and which constitute the principal religious heritage of the western world: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This course meets General Education Requirement: Cultural Enrichment. Prerequisites: ENGL 150. Typically Offered Spring, Summer, Fall.
