Cardiopulmonary Anatomy-Phys (RESP 119)
This course provides the student with advanced study of the respiratory, cardiovascular and renal systems as they relate to respiratory care practice. Topics include anatomy of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, fetal lung development as well as the physiology of aging, respiration, ventilation, fluid and electrolyte balance with an emphasis on renal and pulmonary adjustment in acid-base balance and the fundamentals of arterial blood gas analysis. Pre-Requisites: Admission to the Respiratory care Program. Typically Offered Spring Only
