Cardiorespiratory Diagnostics (RESP 172)

This course will provide the student with the opportunity to practice and demonstrate the instrumentation and physical principles of clinical cardiopulmonary measurement methods used to obtain patient diagnostic data with an emphasis on the evaluation and interpretation of the results, building upon the theoretical concepts presented in RESP 171. Modalities to be introduced include chest x-ray, electrocardiogram, apnea monitors, arterial blood gases, spirometers, and exercise testing. Prerequisites: RESP 100, RESP 119, RESP 125, RESP 145 and RESP 146. Typically Offered Spring only.
