Clinical Practicum 1 (RESP 193)
This course introduces the student to the hospital environment as a practice setting for respiratory care under the supervision of an assigned preceptor. Students will perform general respiratory care procedures as they interact with patients and other health care professionals. There is an emphasis on patient assessment and the various modalities used in the administration of oxygen therapy, humidity and aerosol therapy, hyperinflation therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy and airway management. Pre-Requisites: RESP 100, RESP 119, RESP 125, RESP 145 and RESP 146. Typically Offered Fall Only
