Rubber Product Design

In this course, the student will study the concepts of part design beginning with the definition of the "Customer/End-Use Requirements", through the "Design Cycle" guidelines and product application. Special emphasis will be given to understanding the role of the following elements of rubber product design: material selection, prototyping, part drawing, rubber part design basics, part quality, relationship of tool design to part design, part costing and other.

Requires:

Rubber or Plastics Engineering Technology students only
