Social Services in Corrections

Organization and function of corrections institutions in Michigan. Assessment and intervention methods specific to corrections, including special focus on substance abuse dimensions of assessment and intervention. Beginning helping-professional skills are practiced, including writing of assessments and service plans as well as simulations of helper/client interactions.
