Principles and tools for extracting information and creating knowledge from large databases through application of software. Tools include k-means clustering, classification, association, and others. Software applications to large data sets (e.g. Excel, Access, SQL Server, SPSS). Prerequisites: STQM 270 with a C- or better or permission of instructor. Typically Offered Spring only, odd years.
