Includes topics: theory of spatial measurements and errors; concept of datums and coordinates; map projections; methods and equipment for spatial measurements; Global Positioning System (GPS); digital mapping, GIS data sources and classifications; spatial data and attitribute data; spatial data standards; applications of GIS; GIS hardware and software; GIS costs and benefits.
