Why Choose a Finance Minor?
This minor will prepare students for careers in financial institutions and business. Many students with other business majors are strongly encouraged to take additional courses in finance to prepare them either for finance related jobs or to strengthen their training and expertise in accounting, marketing, management, or computer information systems. By combining one of these majors with a minor in finance, the student is prepared for a greater number of career opportunities and gains more flexibility. The designation of a Finance Minor provides such students with additional evidence of subject matter expertise.
Admission Requirements
Any Ferris student interested in working hard to improve their career opportunities can obtain the minor in finance in conjunction with their Baccalaureate degree.
Graduation Requirements
A Ferris student will receive the Finance Minor upon graduation with a Baccalaureate degree, and after successful completion of the requirements for the minor with a minimum 2.0 grade point average in Finance Minor courses.
Note: No more than 50% of the credits in this minor may be transferred from another institution, nor will the minor be granted if more than 50% of the minor credits are specifically required in the student's major.
