DHYG 320 - Dental Hygiene Informatics


Students will develop an understanding of the American Dental Association's standards for Dental Informatics which provides a seamless information exchange throughout all facets of oral health care. This course examines the relationship between patient care and oral health through the application of information technology. Topics explored include: computerized dental clinical work stations, electronic technologies used in dental practices, software products, digital radiography, and electronic dissemination of dental information and online/web based learning. Typically Offered Fall only.
