ENGL 413 - Literacy Issues and Conflicts


In order to understand and appreciate the ecosystem of literacy, current and pre-service teachers explore the history, definitions, issues, and conflicts surrounding literacy and literacy programs. Topics include traditional and contemporary literacy debates at the classroom, school system, and community levels. Students explore, research, and participate in these debates through class discussion, research analysis, and projects.
