ESPT 350 - Psychology of Play and Players


Students will investigate the psychological concept of play and its role in physical and emotional development of diverse populations. Reliability of human and/or environmental factors as predictors of competitive game play behaviors will be evaluated based on play, motivation, and game study theories. Students will critically analyze the effects of differing ideas of values, ethics, and morality among players during competitive solo and team play in regional, national, and international esports contexts. Typically offered Fall, Spring, Summer semesters.
